Challenge
A plant in Bekasi was importing an injection moulding machine from Shanghai. Its previous import went to the red lane and was held for 9 days because the HS code did not match the goods description.
The new machine was needed for customer orders already scheduled, so a similar delay was not an option.
- Red-lane historyThe importer had already faced a physical inspection for similar goods.
- Machine HS codeVague technical descriptions lead to classification disputes.
- Storage chargesEvery day held at the port adds warehouse costs.

Solution
-
1
Document check before departure
Invoice, packing list and machine catalogue were matched before the vessel left Shanghai.
-
2
HS code confirmed
Our customs team set the HS code with a complete technical description.
-
3
PIB filed at sea
The PIB (import declaration) was filed before arrival, so the response came back early.
-
4
Delivery to the plant
The machine crate went straight to Bekasi once the release order was issued.
