Project cargo for heavy and over-dimensional loads

We assess the route, permits and equipment before we quote a price. Risks are found on paper, not on the road.

This is for you if

  • Equipment must reach site by its ROS date, and any delay pushes back commissioning.
  • Your cargo exceeds public road size or weight limits and needs a dispensation.
  • The route combines road, port and barge to reach a remote location.
  • The owner or EPC requires a method statement and lifting plan before mobilisation.

Cargo we handle

Single indivisible loads, or a full set of equipment for one project.

  • Factory machineryProduction machines, presses, extruders, line relocations
  • Heavy equipmentExcavators, bulldozers, crawler cranes, drilling rigs
  • TransformersPower transformers for substations and power plants
  • Tanks and vesselsStorage tanks, reactors, columns, boilers
  • Steel structuresGirders, fabricated modules, towers, bridge frames
  • Over-dimension and over-weightAny other load beyond public road limits

How we reduce risk

Project cargo moves most often fail for reasons that could have been checked first: a bridge that is too low, a bend that is too tight, or a lifting point that was miscalculated.

  1. 01

    Route and site survey

The team drives the route, measures clearances and photographs every critical point before the final price.

  2. 02

    Lifting and securing plan

Axle load calculations, rigging plan and method statement are approved before mobilisation.

  3. 03

    Permits and escorts

Road dispensations, escort schedules and power line coordination are arranged before the move.

  4. 04

    Monitoring and insurance

Reports at every checkpoint, a supervisor on site, and all-risk cover during transport and lifting.

What the quote includes

Included

  • Route survey and feasibility report
  • Method statement and rigging plan
  • Transport and lifting equipment, operators and supervisor
  • Permits and escorts

Depends on the survey results

  • Temporary bridge or road reinforcement
  • Lifting cables or removing obstacles
  • Weather standby for sea legs
  • Temporary storage if the site is not ready

How it works

  1. 01

    Send cargo details

Dimensions, weight, locations and technical drawings if available.

  2. 02

    Initial assessment

An engineer contacts you within 1 working day. A site survey is scheduled if needed.

  3. 03

    Technical proposal

Cost, schedule, method statement and risk register in one document.

  4. 04

    Execution and handover

A supervisor on site, daily reports and a handover report on arrival.

Data for the initial assessment

The first three items are enough to start. The rest make the assessment faster and more accurate.

  • Dimensions (L × W × H) and weight per unit
  • Origin and site locations, with access conditions
  • ROS date (required on site)
  • Technical or GA drawings
  • Centre of gravity (CoG) and lifting points
  • Photos of the cargo and unloading area

Completed projects

All projects
Large transformer moved on an escorted multi-axle trailer along a road
Cargo
60 MVA transformer, 7.8 × 3.4 × 4.1 m
Route
Cilegon → East Kutai substation
Challenge
An 86-tonne transformer had to reach an East Kalimantan site before commissioning, crossing bridges with low load limits.
Solution
Route survey, 12-axle trailer, barge, temporary bridge reinforcement and road permits in one package.
Result
2 days early, 0 incidents
Mining dump truck carried on a lowbed trailer
Cargo
12 × 100-tonne dump trucks, partly dismantled
Route
Tanjung Priok → South Kalimantan mine site
Challenge
Mobilisation had to finish before the rainy season closed the mine access road.
Solution
Partial dismantling at the port, barge direct to the site jetty, reassembly by the manufacturer team.
Result
On mobilisation schedule
“The survey team found two bridges that were not on our project map. Without that, our transformer would have been stuck halfway.”

Frequently asked questions

An initial assessment from data and drawings usually takes 1–2 working days. If a site survey is needed, the final quote follows 3–5 working days after the survey, depending on route length.

The initial assessment is free. A site survey for long routes or remote locations may carry a fee, stated up front and deducted from the project value if you go ahead.

We tell you at the initial assessment, not after mobilisation. There is usually an alternative: another route, a sea leg, partial dismantling, or temporary reinforcement. Each is compared on cost and risk.

We do. That includes road dispensations, coordination with transport authorities and police, and lifting power or telecom cables with PLN or the provider when needed.

Yes, under the project all-risk policy we provide. It covers transport and the lifting operations. Standard cargo insurance often excludes lifting risk, so it is worth checking.

Dimensions and weight per unit, origin and site locations, and the ROS date. Technical drawings, centre of gravity and lifting points speed up the assessment and can follow later.

Send the specifications. We check route feasibility first.

The initial assessment is free. If the route is not feasible, we tell you up front, with alternatives.
